Science Fiction series, 2001-
In the mid-22nd century, almost a hundred years after First Contact with the Vulcans, the united Mankind has fought the evils on their own planet and given Earth a new appearance. Because of the continuing paternalism by the Vulcans, however, on the whole they weren't able to reach for the stars yet. This changes in the year 2151, when the crash of a Klingon on Earth causes a chain of events because of which the experimental starship Enterprise can depart to space much earlier as planned. Its commanding officer: Captain Jonathan Archer, whose childhood dream of deep space exploration becomes reality now. The warp 5 engine, developed in decades of hard work, allows him and his crew, to boldly go where no Man has gone before, to discover strange new worlds and civilizations and to prove that Mankind is worthy to take its place in the interstellar community.
